Partner Christopher Cole, Chair of Katten’s Advertising, Marketing, and Promotions Practice, will serve as the conference chair and will lead the discourse throughout the day. Several other Katten partners will also be featured as presenters and panelists, providing insights on various aspects of advertising and marketing law.

Conference sessions include "The Latest on AI," co-presented by Partners Kristin Achterhof and Michael Justus, who leads Katten’s AI Working Group. This session will delve into the complex legal and regulatory issues raised by Generative AI (GenAI), including copyright, advertising, licensing, right of publicity and more. Kristin and Mike will discuss the current state of the GenAI legal and regulatory environment, and provide practical guidance on risk-based approaches to navigate the GenAI compliance landscape.

Next, Partners Karen Artz Ash, Co-Chair, Trademark/Copyright/Privacy Group, and Jessica Kraver will serve as panelists during the "Hot Topics in Retail for 2024" session. This discussion will focus on trends in the retail industry from both legal and business perspectives. The panel will consider the current climate for brands and retailers both domestically and internationally, including the advertising and marketing challenges and opportunities that 2024 may bring, leveraging their extensive industry experience.

Later in the afternoon, Partner Daniel Render will co-present the "Legal Trends in Sports Marketing" session.
