About Karolen S. Younan

Karolen Younan is a corporate attorney in Katten's Chicago office. Her practice is focused on a wide range of complex transactions, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions in the health care industry.

Successfully closing a deal takes a perspective that goes beyond legal strategy

Karolen manages all stages of a transaction while she represents physician practices, private equity-backed health care platforms and other healthcare facilities. Karolen counsels clients as they navigate M&A deals, reorganizations, and joint ventures.

Prior to joining Katten, Karolen completed a Public Interest Law Initiative fellowship with the Loyola Business Law Clinic. She worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Charles Kocoras, US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and served as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing I and II.

During law school, Karolen served as a notes and comments editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
